This release of Tru64 UNIX contains only defect fixes. There are no features or
enhancements added in this release of Tru64 UNIX Software. Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-6
provides a stable platform that you can use until you are ready to transition your
mission critical applications to other HP platforms.
Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-6 combines several defect fixes along with the
latest patch kit onto one physical media called the Version 5.1B-6 CD-ROM. The Version
5.1B-6 kit has undergone full product qualification testing as a single entity on
multiple configurations and is binary compatible with all previous Version 5 stream
releases.
In addition to updating the base Tru64 UNIX operating system, TruCluster Server, Logical
Storage Manager (LSM), and other Tru64 UNIX products and components have also
been updated.
