In fact, Tru64 UNIX V5.1B was the first qualified platform for SAP and Oracle’s combined solution – SAP/R3 and Oracle9i RAC. Read current comments from some of our key ISVs.

When is Version 5.1B-1 shipping?

Key components of Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1B-1 began shipping in October 2003, factory-installed on HP’s new AlphaServer GS1280 and DS15 systems. Those components, NHD7 and PK3, deliver the new hardware support and operating system enhancements that comprise Version 5.1B-1. The entire software kit, including NHD7, PK3 plus the Associated Product CDs that include new and updated applications, began shipping in the latter part of November 2003 to customers who have support contracts including Rights to New Versions.

What’s new in Version 5.1B-1?

Version 5.1B-1 expands support for EV7-based AlphaServer systems to include the 64-processor GS1280, and supports the new EV68-based DS15.

In addition to supporting the new AlphaServer systems, Version 5.1B-1 delivers enhancements that improve scalability and performance, expand storage capability, and broaden the applications shipping with the operating system while updating previously shipping applications.
