The FC-HBA shared libraries have been added to HP Tru64 UNIX. The libraries are targeted for inclusion in V5.1B-4 and available for V5.1B-2 and V5.1B-3 via ERPs. The FC-HBA libraries can be used with any application that utilizes the libraries.

The libraries provide support for the HP Storage Essentials Suite, which delivers integrated heterogeneous functionality for network (DAS, SAN, NAS) management, storage resource management, provisioning and application infrastructure monitoring. The suite consists of HP Storage Essentials Enterprise Edition and a portfolio of value added plug-ins. The architecture and interfaces are built on industry standards.

These libraries are required for the Storage Essentials Suite to work under HP Tru64 UNIX.

The FC-HBA shared libraries are available for HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-2/PK4 and V5.1B-3. The libraries are targeted for inclusion in V5.1B-4.

HP is releasing the following ERP kits publicly for use by any customer. The ERP kits use dupatch to install and will not install over any Customer Specific Patches (CSPs) that have file intersections with the ERP. Contact your service provider for assistance if the installation of an ERP is blocked by any of your installed CSPs.

The fix contained in the ERP kits is scheduled to be available in the following mainstream patch kit:
