DESCRIPTION
A potential problem in HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B PK3/BL24 and V5.1A PK6/BL24 can cause a premature TCP connection termination to occur when backups or large print jobs are performed over the network.

SCOPE
The following versions are affected:

• HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B PK3 (BL24)
• HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1A PK6 (BL24)

RESOLUTION
HP is releasing Early Release Patch (ERP) kits to resolve this potential problem.

The fix contained in the ERP kits is scheduled to be available in the following mainstream patch kits:

• HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B PK4
• HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1A PK7

Early Release Patch Kits

ERP kits are available for the following versions. The kits distribute
/sys/BINARY/inet.mod.

Customers who have installed a Customer-Specific Patch (CSP) for this problem do not need to install the ERP kit.
