two to three business days, you will receive
the Zip file password key at the email
address you provided during registration.
The following sections outline key information

This Zip file contains a web tree structure
that allows you to browse the Tru64 UNIX
to HP-UX 11i transition modules and their associated
documents using your web browser. Some
documents are contained in this web tree
structure; others require a network connection,
capable of reaching the HP corporate web
site (hp.com), to access supporting documents
and related links.
The contents of this Zip file, other than readme.html, readme.txt, and license.html,
are password-protected. Assuming a successful validation of your registration
information, within two to three business days, you will receive the Zip file
password key at the email address you provided during registration. You will
need this password to extract the contents of the Zip file. If you already
have a password, you will be able to use that password during file extraction
process to unlock the transition module files.
Before downloading the Zip file, please review the license
terms under which you are allowed access to the Tru64 UNIX to HP-UX 11i transition
modules. Download the encrypted Zip file to your computer.

Extract
the transition modules Zip file to Microsoft
Windows

To extract the transition modules under
Microsoft Windows:
- You must use a Zip software utility
that supports the standard Zip 2.0 encryption
format. HP recommends using the WinZip
utility for Microsoft Windows.
- Create a transition modules directory
to serve as the extraction destination.
- Open the Zip file with the Zip software
utility and begin a file extraction operation.
- Specify the extraction destination
directory.
- Specify that all files are to
be extracted.
- Specify that the file folder
hierarchy is to be preserved. (In
WinZip, this is done by selecting "Use
folder names".)
- Extract the files, providing
the decryption password when prompted
to do so.

Extract
the transition modules Zip file to Tru64
UNIX

To extract the transition modules under
Tru64 UNIX:
- You must use a Zip software utility
that supports the standard Zip 2.0 encryption
format. HP recommends using the UnZip
utility for Tru64 UNIX.
Note: You can obtain
the latest Tru64 UNIX version of
UnZip from http://www.info-zip.org/.
- Create a transition modules directory
to serve as the extraction destination:
# mkdir Transition_Modules
- Go to the created directory and copy
the Zip file there:
# cd Transition_Modules
# cp /path/tru64_hpux_integrity_tm.zip .
where path is the location of the downloaded Zip file.
- Invoke the UnZip utility to extract
all files in the Zip file to the current
directory. Provide the decryption password
when prompted to do so.
# /usr/local/bin/unzip tru64_hpux_integrity_tm.zip

Get
started browsing the transition modules
web tree

Once the files are extracted, you can
begin browsing the Tru64 UNIX to HP-UX 11i
transition modules self-contained web tree:
- Go to the extraction destination directory
and locate the file index.html.
- To begin navigating the transition
modules, open index.html with a web browser.
The following notes pertain to browsing
the transition modules:
- On Tru64 UNIX, you can use the Mozilla
browser or Version 6 or higher of the
Netscape browser to browse the transition
modules. This version of the transition
modules web structure does not support
Tru64 UNIX versions of Netscape earlier
than Version 6. You can obtain a Netscape
Version 6 web client for Tru64 UNIX from http://h30097.www3.hp.com/internet/download.htm.
- A network link, capable of reaching
the HP corporate web site (hp.com), is
required to access some of the supporting
web resources referenced in the transition
module web pages.
- To view the transition module release
notes and revision histories, follow
the "Release notes & revision history" links
provided throughout the web tree.
- Each module provides a survey in the "Feedback" section.
Your survey response is anonymous to
ensure your confidentiality. This survey
will be used only to evaluate and enhance
the effectiveness of the module.
