ECO3 kit provides enhancements and corrections
for problems found in the ASU Version 5.1A software,
including ECO1 and ECO2, and in earlier versions
of the ASU software.
Some of the problems fixed in the
ASU Version 5.1 ECO3 kit:
- Microsoft Office applications running on a
Windows 95 or Windows 98 client will not fail
when trying to open a file from an ASU share
that is already opened by another client.
- Files edited by Microsoft Word through the
ASU server running on a TruCluster system will
not be deleted if the user exited Word by clicking
on the Close button in the upper-right corner
of the window instead of by choosing the Exit
command in the File menu.
- Microsoft Windows 2000 clients using XCOPY
to copy directory trees to an ASU server will
no longer receive ACCESS DENIED errors.
See the ASU
Version 5.1A ECO3 Release Notes for a complete
list of new features, functionality, and corrected
problems.
The ASU Version 5.1A ECO3 Release
Notes also provide instructions on how to
configure a Windows XP workstations so that users
can logon to Windows XP workstations through an
ASU domain controller.

ECO3 software on a system running the Tru64
UNIX
