About This Manual

This document is the POSIX.2 Conformance Document as specified by IEEE Standard for Information Technology 1003.2-1992, Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) Part 2: Shell and Utilities (POSIX.2).

Audience

This POSIX.2 Conformance Document is provided for people who are evaluating the POSIX.2 conformance of Tru64^TM UNIX® (formerly Digital UNIX). Users should be familiar with IEEE Std 1003.2-1992.

Organization

This document contains a statement of a POSIX.2 requirement necessitating response or elaboration in the Conformance Document and a statement of how Tru64 UNIX Version 5.0 conforms to this requirement.

The organization of chapters and sections follows the POSIX.2 Conformance Document as specified by IEEE Standard for Information Technology 1003.2-1992, Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) Part 2: Shell and Utilities.
